Good HC, no DJ. Brown bead-grain cloth over boards with blind stamped rules framing each cover and decorative gilt letters and design on spine. Clean, lightly scuffed covers and spine; rubbed at fore corners, boards just exposed; worn at spine ends with 1/4 inch cloth missing at each end; tightly bound; front hinge has been reglued causing wrinkle in end paper; owner pencil name and date (1872) on front free end paper; title page torn at hinge bottom, somewhat fragile; pencil note at head of page 1; clean interior. OCLC # 55481480. Very uncommon memoir of anonymous "Christian woman of superior natural talents, with respect to the nature and efficacy of prayer." Revivalist, fundamentalist orientation. 12mo, 165 pp.
