About This Item

NY: Random House, 1953. 1st Edition. Hardcover. Very Good +/Very Good. Inscribed by musical comedy actress Kaye Ballard, who played the lead role in the original production of THE GOLDEN APPLE: "To Jane & Bob - Memories!!!! Love & Peace Kay Ballard" Between two lines of the inscription, Ballard has sketched a musical scale and within her signature Kay has sketched a self-caricature. Jane and Bob Emerson managed the Drama Book Shop, the go-to bookstore in Manhattan for theatre professionals and aficionados. Unclipped dustjacket lightly soiled, more so to spine and rear panel.
