The Third Printing of the FIRSTAMERICAN EDTION, this hardcover book has black paper-covered boards with an embossed gilt gun image wrapping around both covers & spine, similar to the scarce design of the actual first print run of the (true) First British Edition. Red & white lettering to spine. Condition is VG+: extremely crisp and clean, binding strong & straight. Pages off-white, mildly tanned along external edges, but unmarked. Slight waviness to ffep & tiny dent to bottom of front board are only real flaws. The unclipped DJ (with orig. $4.50 price at top front flap) has 6 "bullet" holes adjacent to the title. It is truly Near Fine, marred only by the slightest surface discoloration to front cover. Virtually NO edgewear! Beautifully protected in new archival mylar. A solid copy!
