cat40a. NY: Golden Hours, 1889 - 1890. Large format. Three volumes, black cloth. Spines are gone, covers mostly loose, some chipping to edges and occasional old yellowed tape repairs, very good internally, the individual covers in nice shape. These volumes contain Volume III, No. 53 (Feb. 2, 1889) through Vol. V, No. 130 (July 26, 1890). Many serializations and stories, several of which are fantasy, including Fred Thorpe's "TWENTY FATHOMS DEEP; or, The Boy Treasure Seekers. The Strange Story of a Mysterious Buried City in the Pacific Ocean" which is serialized over numbers 71 - 80. Another is Thomas P. Montfort's "UNDERGROUND: or, Adventures With the Toltecs", a lost-race tale spanning issues 118 - 127. There are many other serialized tales of crime, adventure and sport. Three heavy volumes, postage will be charged at cost.
