This copy has been signed by both the author and the creator of the music. The book and its contents are in mostly clean, bright condition. There is some beginning bumping and rubbing to the spine ends and corners of the book covers. The text pages are clean and bright. This copy has been signed on the half title page by both the author and the music creator. The dust jacket has some light edge wear, rubbing and a couple of small nicks and chips. "Grace Castagnetta was a pianist, writer, and composer. She was born in New York (sources say either 1909 or 1912) , and collaborated with many well known authors and illustrators of the 20th century on musical books for children, including Van Loon and Virginia Lee Burton."
