Now nicely boxed. A very fine set indeed, essentially without flaw. RARE FIRST EDITION. A beautifully illustrated record of fashion in the heady first years after the Great War. A time known and remembered for decadence and new styles as clothing entered the Mod era and women began to liberate themselves from the heavy formal clothing of the past. The plates depict fashion for both men and women, and included clothing, hairstyles and even furniture. Many of the Art Deco period’s best engravers and illustrators in France were involved.
