London: G. Bell and Sons, Ltd.. Good. 1927. Second Edition. Hardcover. 343 p. 19 cm. Sound binding in cloth-covered boards. Slightly cocked. Spine cloth has faded and is weakened. It is split along the top and bottom edges where it meets the lower board and worn at both ends. A few soil spots to the upper board. Top edge of text block has a little foxing. Endpapers have discoloured somewhat with offsetting from owner's label on front free endpaper. Otherwise, the inside pages are clean and unmarked overall. A revised edition of this study of English and French gothic architecture. Illustrated with black and white plates, in text photographs, and diagrams. This copy belonged to architect Frances Nobbs, son of Montreal architect Percy. It also belonged to S. Gerson from McGill University. The label with Gerson's name has a corner missing. Perhaps, there was another initial to the name, before the S. .
