Harper & Brothers, Publishers, New York, 1948. First Edition. Hardcover. Near Fine/No Jacket. Signed by Author. Special Limited Edition, first issue in this format. Size: 8vo - over 7¾" - 9¾" tall. Text body is clean, and free from previous owner annotation, underlining and highlighting. Binding is tight, covers and spine fully intact. This is copy number 131 of 270 copies of this special autographed edition, half red gilt stamped leather and decorated paper over boards, top edges gilt, xi + 140 pp. + 8 pp. facsimile reproductions of some of her letters, edited by Otto Kallir, color reproductions of 16 of her paintings (at the end of the book), 12 b & w photographs. A three-quarter inch by three-quarter inch piece of paper tape at top edge of back board that goes very slightly over top edge onto inside back board (no idea why it is there, but we did not want to try to remove it), very minor tiny tear at top edge of front free and paper at the gutter. In a very good slipcase that is lightly soiled with some small spots of wear along edges. Quantity Available: 1. Shipped Weight: 2 lbs 7 oz.
