London, 1882. Cover: black half-calf leather on grey boards. Moderate rubbed wear to extremeties. Staining to front and heavy staining to rear cover. Rear cover fabric covering peeled away at edges and partly along leather spine seam. Five raised ribs. Red speckled edges with faint foxing and light soiling. Marbled endpapers, fep & rep. Front and rear guttering open still held well by internal rope binding. Mild foxing and few only mild staining to several pages however this is mostly to the margins and fore-edges. Binding is tight. Large & quite heavy Elephant Folio: 42 cm x 31cm x 8 cm. First Edition. Hb. VG/None.
