London: Andre Deutsch, 1956. 1st Edition . Very Good/Very Good. 5.75 x 8.5 inches (14.5 x 22 cm). Dust jacket: Light browning and a little light foxing to rear cover. A few short tears to edges of rear cover. Small and very light stain to front cover. Price clipped, also a small section clipped from rear flap. Price clipped. Preserved in a removable jacket protector. Overall jacket condition is Very Good Minus. Book: Brown cloth binding. Tanning and light foxing to free endpapers, otherwise in very clean condition throughout. Account of the author's experiences in Italian East Africa as a doctor and administrator. This work was a favourite of musician David Bowie and his Somali-American wife Iman, and it served as an inspiration for his classic 1977 track 'Heroes'. Uncommon. Overall book condition is Very Good. Size: 5.75 x 8.5 inches (14.5 x 22 cm). Hardback. Printed pages: 192
