New York/Boston: H.M. Caldwell Company, 1911. This is a Very Good (Plus) copy of the First Edition. in a fabulous decorative binding. Green cloth with a striking illustration of the aeroplane in question stamped in black, tan, and light blue. Titling in gilt on the front cover and the spine, which is illustrated with a native warrior. Clean text; vi, list of illustrations, pagination from 9 to 396. Page ends stained in green. Gray endpapers, with a contemporary (1912) gift inscription on both the first and the last endpapers (very neat). Light rub to the corners and the head and foot of the spine; gilt has light rub, not really affecting it. A solid and very attractive copy. In an archival plastic protector. . First American Edition.. Decorative Cloth. Very Good (Plus)/No Jacket. Illus. by Edward S. Hodgson. 8vo - over 7¾" - 9¾" tall.
