About This Item

London: Blackie & son, no date [1909]. No edition stated, but presumed first edition (hardback). 4to (26cm by 21cm), c. 50pp. Illustrated in colour and b&w by Ruth A Hobson. Original green cloth spine, brown boards with colour illustration inlaid on the front board. This book is only in fair condition; the binding is a little rubbed and stained, the contents are thumbed and spotted, and the interior of the binding has been strengthened with white cloth tape in several places. Undated; COPAC suggests a date of 1909 or 1910. This book contains a gift inscription dated Xmas 1909, which appears to confirm a publication date of 1909.
