About This Item

New York: Thomas Nelson, 1960 Apart from the fascinating photographs, the photograhers and the stories behind the pics, this book has an interesting provenance. The inscription reads "For Sir Bruce Ingram, editor in chief The Illustrated London News. The first newspaper in the world to recognise the importance of news photography - John Faber London 1960." Bruce Ingram (1877-1963) edited The Illustrated London News for an amazing 63 years between 1900 and his death in 1963. 127pp in black and white. Sun fade to the spine head and top edge otherwise very good throughout.
