Reprint of book first published 1975, which looks at the literary remembrance and mythologization of World War I. 8vo, blue-green paper over boards with black quarter, gilt lettering on spine, light shelf wear, damp damage (rippling) along bottom of front board and top of text block near the back, foxing to top edge, pages bright. Dust jacket is price-clipped, has light shelf wear. Names of former owners written on first free end paper, small marks in margin and a few notes on approximately 30 pages, notes in pencil on rear end papers.
