New York: Alfred A. Knopf, 1925. Book. Very Good. Hardcover. 8vo - over 7¾ - 9¾" tall. Number 1282 of 3000, a first edition published in April 1925. Original deep red cloth with gilt titles on the front and on the faded spine. Top edge gilt. Only a hint of edge wear at the corners. Inside, no prior owner marks.. Very clean and tight, no browning or foxing. Galsworthy in his introduction says the author is an esteemed naturalist. An important book in its day. .
