About This Item

Casablanca, Morocco : Moroccan Courier, 1958 Moroccan Courier, Casablanca, Morocco. 1958. Softcover/Trade Wraps. Book is tight, square, and unmarked. Book Condition: Very Good; light edgewear; small creases on rear at bottom from bumping and at top from opening. No DJ. Pictorial card stock wraps. Wraps are not bent or folded; spine is not creased or split; text is secure in binding. Travel agent pocket on rear wrap is intact and not torn; road map and three advertisement brochures are in pocket; all in excellent condition. 223 pp 8vo. Vivid tiped-in color photographs (original) and B&W photographs. This travel book takes you back to the days of ship travel and TWA Gulfstream turboprops to Europe and North Africa in the post-war period. Many period photographs illustrating the cities, towns, sites, hotels, casinos, restaurants, travel agents, and historical areas. A great look at North Africa before mass tourism overwhelmed the original Bedouin flavor (I speak from personal experience). A clean very presentable copy.
