Soiled and worn, Fraying at both ends of spine & corner tips. Fly leaf missing, both hinges cracked. 520pp. Packed with information about travel and tourism in 19th century Europe. Many engraved illustrations, including NUMEROUS fascinating ads for all sorts of merchandise, hotels, restaurants, etc. The book also contains a number of nice color city maps. The back cover contains an ad for the BERLIN INDUSTRIAL EXHIBITION of 1896. Tucked inside the back cover is a "Reference list for all EXPORT MANUFACTURERS of Saxony and Thuringia.". F. Hardcover.
