Gray cloth lettered in black on the spine; headband. Light rubbing at the corners of the dustjacket; price intact; aside from the author's signature, no interior markings. Dj by Susan Thomas. He finally had his life in order. After leaving the Boston Police Force, he settled on a small island in the Bahamas where the sun was hot, the sky was blue and there were no cop politics to exasperate him. And then he found a woman he could love. Life was good again. For a while. Then his closest living relative died and McGuire returned home to attend her funeral and settle her estate. McGuire quickly discovered that closing his aunt's affairs was anything but simple. And when suspicions of murder provoked an attempt on his own life, McGuire was forced to dig into his aunt's past, revealing crimes long past and covered up . . . but not forgotten..
