Brill regarding native peoples; and a June 14, 1983 newspaper article which states that 'Haida Culture' so angered the tribe that they banned social scientists from their reserve. From the collection of Wayne Prescott Suttles, renowned anthropologist, scholar, and linguist regarding many Pacific cultures, and especially the U.S. Pacific Northwest Coast Salish people. His stamp to the ffep. Provenance provided upon request. Laid in Condition notes: 322 numbered pp; HB w/DJ. Pages: clean, bright, tight, decorative photo eps. Cover: green, gilt titles spine; no shelfwear. DJ: unclipped, gray, photo all surfaces, red titles front/spine; v lt edge/shelfwear, tiny tear front top crnr, lt rubbing.
