Two volumes 8vo., xi(4)368pp.; vii(4)416pp. Beautiful 2-volume part sixth of the "New Library Edition" of Parkman's works originally stretching to 13 volumes. Bound in 3/4 navy morocco over marbled paper-covered boards. Bordered in gilt. Titles in gilt on spine. t.e.g. Marbeled end-papers. Frontis illustration in each volume. Square, tight and clean throughout with no internal toning or foxing. Rubbing to hinges, spine ends and tips. Mild ear to spines that are toned to brown. A very handsome collectable set at a great price.
