About This Item
Hardback. Very Good. Frederick Warne, London, no date (but perhaps around 1863); weekly papers for quarters three and four, of four, in one volume, being the second of two for the year; 8vo, pp iv, 312 and iv, 316; pictorial frontispiece and with a facing page of engravings of authors, for each part; full prize calf gilt with the arms of the city of Edinburgh on each board and with a prize plate from the Senate on the front end paper; marbled edges. Both hinges a little cracked internally but nevertheless a very good, firm, clean copy of this worthy, if rather boring, book in a fine binding.
