Illustrated with line-drawings. A well-researched and authoritative biography of Thomas Pitt (1775-1804); who was an English peer and Royal Navy officer. He was a cousin to Prime Minister William Pitt, and died from wounds of a pistol duel. With Appendix, Notes and Index. D/w has some sunning around spine and front panel, with minor wear to corners; else a near fine copy, in a very good d/w, of a SCARCE first edition, first printing SIGNED BY THE AUTHOR. D/w now protected in a detachable, non-adhesive, clear sheaf.. Signed by Author. First edition, First Printing. Hardback. Near Fine/Very Good.
