Signed presentation copy by author. First edition. Dust-jacket protected by reinforced mylar covers that have been pasted to inside front and rear boards. Not an ex-library copy, from a private collection. Presented to previous owner with inscription that reads: "For Dick Corkrum, a valued American comrade-in-arms of the New Guinea campaign, -with best wishes, G.H. Fearnside". A memoir from a front line soldier who fought at Tobruck and El Alamein. A very clean, square, fresh and unmarked copy, save for author's inscription on title page. Near Fine in a near fine dust-jacket. . First Edition. Hardcover. Near Fine/Near Fine. 8vo - over 7¾" - 9¾" tall.
