About This Item

Edited by psychopharmacologist Ronald K. Siegel, an authority on the subject of hallucinations who performed drug experiments on his "psychonauts." He was an expert witness in the murder trial of Hollywood actor Robert Blake. Co-editor Louis Jolyn "Jolly" West is best-known for his work with the CIA human experimentation project MKUltra, his diagnosis of assassin Jack Ruby, and the killing of an elephant named Tusko with LSD in 1962. A fascinating, subversive treatise on the effects of hallucinogens from a psychiatric perspective. Includes twelve examples of hallucinatory artwork in color.
