London, Adam & Charles Black, 1909. Very Good. Hardcover. First Edition: Hard Back. Very good pictorial boards sage green background decorated with a floral pattern of pink roses and lime green leaves to the front board, this forms a rectangular shape around which the titles and credits are printed in black, slightly sunned spine, gilt titles to spine beneath which are three pink stylised roses, closed page edges are uncut and slightly foxed, top edge gilt, smart book plate of a previous owner fixed to front paste-down Thomas Matheson Foster, hand written dedication to front endpaper 'From Walker Sept '50.' condtents in good condition, some foxing to preliminaries, pages are mainly unmarked, tissue protected colour plates by Wilfrid Ball. Beautiful water colour paintings in his own particular style 316 pages including index, 75 Illustrations and a fold-out sketch map at the end of the volume. This is a large heavy book. Size 9.00 x 6.75 x 1.75 inches approx. .
