Boy Scouts Cambridge & District Association, 1912. Card Stock. At Least Very Good. An early, rare, and virtual who's who of the Cambridge/UK Boy Scout movement as it was evolving shortly after the movement's incorpation in 1912. Having autographs in pencil from every official listed in the program - as well as some additional attendees, for a total of thirty autographs in all. Some of the signatories on the lower cover verso are : George Stace (President, Ald., J.P. and two time Mayor of Cambridge [1906-07 and 1910-11] ) ; E. Scott (Scoutmaster who gave the lead song for the evening) ; Geoffrey H. Crump (District Scoutmaster who gave the 2nd song and apparently also introduced the President for the evenings final toast) ; M.M. Eastwell (Scoutmaster who gave the 3rd song) ; Colonel Howard Marsh (Master of Downing who gave a toast) ; Colonel Ulick G.C. de Burgh (Deputy Chief Commissioner who gave a toast) ; F.G. Aldridge (Scoutmaster who gave the 5th song) ; G.T. Waldegrave (Scoutmaster who gave the 7th song) and H.M. Hake (Assistant Scoutmaster who gave the 8th and final song) ], two signatures on upper cover [B.A. Resker ; H.R. Mallett] and a further six additional signatures recto lower cover [W.R. Coppleston ; S.R.H. Edge ; C.H. Hills ; L.S. Ward (Assistant Scoutmaster who gave 4th song) ; P. W. Robinson ; William D. Cole]. See photos for menu choices and additional signatories. Individual printed dinner menu and evenings itinerary tipped into printed and hand colored decorative card covers, 16mo (6-1/2 inches tall x 4-3/8 inches wide), "Spalding, Cambridge" stamped in blind onto foot of lower cover. Menu has light toning and stains with smudging to pencil autographs.
