London: Buckingham Palace, 1915. First Edition. Card Covers. Very Good/No Jacket. 12mo - over 6¾" - 7¾. N/a. Type: Autograph Letter A hand written note/letter in black ink dated June 24, 1915 on offical Buckingham Palace letterhead embossed with a red royal crest to the head to a Lady Mary ? commanding her by Her Majesty the Queen to send payment to a Wilkie and Kennedy over £33 for a staggering large number of socks and pyjamas 'with which her majesty was much pleased'. The note is not signed so it may or may not have been written by the queen. Sold as not written by the Queen but instead by a royal aid. The letter has been creased along the middle. It is attached to a contemporaneous mount from which it has pulled a little at the head and the tail causing slight creasing.
