The volume contains descriptions of 122 species. Each species is shown in color plates, and maps show breeding and wintering areas. There is a small section of colored plates of eggs and plumage at the end of the book. Quarto. Dark blue cloth cover with gilt title to spine. Blue illustrated dust jacket with orange and white title to front and spine panels. Pages are bright and clean. Spine is slightly cocked. Dust jacket has minor wear to edges, rubbing to front and back panels, a short closed tear at foot of spine panel, and British price label on inside front panel. 722 pages, including index. NAT/061522.
