Irish novelist Donn Byrne (1889-1928), raised an impoverished native speaker, had become a very popular writer by the time an unfortunate automobile accident ended his life. This is a Very Good Plus to Near Fine copy of the true First Edition, limited to 350 copies, and SIGNED on the Limitation Page by the author. Very interesting paper-covered boards, in a rather artistic "scribble" design, with velum spine and tips; gilt lettering on the spine. Clean text; 466 pages, edges rough-cut. Small bump to bottom of front cover Size: 8vo - over 7¾" - 9¾" tall. Signed by Author. First Edition.. Hard Cover. Near Fine/No Jacket. Illus. by John Richard Flanagan.
