Signed on ffep by Nancy Caffrey and subject of book Karen Ann McGuire. This book is inscribed to a girl name Sandy and wished a speedy recovery. It is also signed by several other people, including Ted Wahl, who ran Round Hill Farm in Connecticut during the 1950s. True story of a young girl who writes a letter to Hanover Bank putting in a bid for horse. Touched by the letter, they help the young girl's dream come true. Story illustrated with photos of the girl and the horse she names Hanover's Wishing Star in honor of the bank.. Illus. by Photographs. 8vo - over 7¾ - 9¾" tall. Signed by Author(s). 1st Edition.
