The story of the goings-on in a two-family house in Ottawa, Canada, in the 1920's. 269 pages. Original dustjacket is chipped and torn along the edges; about one inch of spine bottom is missing; tear from lower spine about 2 inches long into front of dustjacket. Cover shows a man playing the violin while his wife and son watch. Very colourful covers. Front and back flaps have slight creases. Dark blue boards have some bumping to corners and spine tips otherwise very nice with colorful pastedowns on front cover and spine. Previous owner's name on ffep. Previous owner has added additional decoration to title page. Interior pages still very clean and bright with a tight binding. Top edge dyed red.. First Edition. Hard Cover. Very Good/Good. Illus. by Roger Duvoisin. 8vo - over 7¾" - 9¾" tall.
