Elephant folio, 20 pp., original issue, complete. Illustrated throughout with engravings. Includes supplement. Full page engraving by Thomas Nast on cover. Other engravings include "Pius The Ninth", "United States Naval Asylum At Philadelphia", "The Broad Stairway", and "The Reading-Room" , "A Reception By Pius IX", a full page engraving by Thomas Nast titled "Inflation", "Cleopatra's Needle--The Arrival At Gravesend, England" (ship), a double-page engraving by Miller and McCutcheon titled "A Tramps' Lodging-House" . Also contains parts of "Brother Jacob" by George Eliot, Chapter II, and "A Shadow On The Threshold" by Mary Cecil Hay, Chapters IX-XI. One corner curled, else fine condition..
