Wear to spine caps and corners, rear hinge torn almost its length, cracking to spine leather, rubbing to paper. Text block has bookplate on front pastedown, cracked hinges, spotting to edges and endpapers, light foxing throughout. Illustrated: b&w engraving at start and finish of first work. Book boards are overall rubbed with extremities being worn - with corners bumped/worn and approx. 1/8" lacking from spine crown. A tight text block, scattered with mild foxing. No previous owner markings. THIS is the ORIGINAL text, NOT a facsimile. Hard to find title. Protected in a mylar slip.

Lightly rubbed, brief wear at corners, bookplate of Captain Todd, Cameronians (Scottish Rifles) at front pastedown, a couple of leaves roughly opened causing small losses in the margins (text unaffected), occasional soiling internally, still Very Good. A collaborative effort which is apparently mostly the work of Maria Edgeworth which "rejects an English stereotype of Irishmen and portrays them accurately in realistic, everyday settings" (Fauske & Kauffman/ An Uncomfortable Authority, p. 44)

Baldwin, Cradock and Joy, 1820. 1st Edition . Hardcover. Good/No Jacket. These two volumes are both in good condition. Publication date 1820. Both have been rebound and have ex libris plates and stamps present to the front end papers. Tanning to the title pages and light foxing present to each volumes intermittently. Otherwise the pages are very good for their age, free from markings or damage. We are very happy to provide additional information and more detailed photos.

Good in full leather with marbled endpapers and book edges, leather is split at the top and bottom of the front outer hinge and a two inch split in the center of the rear outer hinge, pages are in very good condition with some browning and pages at the back are slightly wrinkled.
