London: Darton and Clark, [c.1839].. Small square 8vo. (iv), 310, (6) pp. Publisher's dark green blindstamped full morocco, gilt lettered and decorated to the spine and boards, all edges gilt. Frontispiece and 6 plates, all in colour, plus an additional black and white engraved title. An attractive copy. Darton, H692. Conforming to his description of the first edition which appeared in cloth bindings of differing colours and a morocco binding as here, although Darton only mentions the leather binding appearing in black.
