London: Picador, 2013. First edition. Hardback. Near Fine/Near Fine. 9" by 6". None. A signed first edition of Jim Carce's Booker Prize shortlisted novel. This signed first edition, first impression, of acclaimed author Jim Crace's novel 'Harvest' which was shortlisted for the Booker Prize and won the International IMPAC Dublin Literary Award and the James Tait Black Memorial Prize in 2013. The novel tells the story of a remote English village thrown into chaos by the arrival of three outsiders, the hamlet becoming undone by fires, punishment, and suspicions of witchcraft. First edition, first impression, with unclipped dustwrapper. Signed by the author to the title page, dated 18th March '13. A hypnotic work of England's fields pillaged, Crace's 'Harvest' is mythical and personal, exploring the relationship between a man and his village. In the publisher's original hardback binding, with unclipped dustwrapper. Externally, very smart, with only minor bumping to the head of the spine. The dustwrapper is generally very smart, with only some shelfwear to the head and tail of the spine and extremities, and a Blackwell barcode sticker to the rear cover. Internally, firmly bound.
