James Nisbet & Co, 1111. Hardcover. Acceptable. No Edition Remarks. 424 pages. No dust jacket. Red illustrated cloth boards with lettering. Black and white illustrated frontispieces. Prize plate stuck to front pastedown. Hinges are moderately cracked with exposed netting. Moderate crinkling to paper at gutter. Pages and illustrations are heavily tanned and foxed with visible markings throughout. Binding throughout is slightly loose but pages remain attached. Pencil markings to front free endpaper and pastedown. Boards have heavy edge-wear with bumping to corners, crushing to spine ends and rub wear all over. Slight crushing and fraying to spine ends and corners. Gilt lettering is darkened. Moderate sunning to spine and edges. Visible wear marks to boards.
