About This Item

Brown cloth covered hardcover boards with gilt lettering on front cover and spine. Slight edge fading to top and bottom margins. Formers owner's name on FFE. Binding tight and text clean. DJ has age toning, and is price clipped, very slight edge wear.

This was Brautigan's fifth novel, a parody of Western and Gothic novels, a story of a mysterious cowboy on the rad to a dark place. As in earlier novels, Brautigan played with the idea that imagination has borh good and bad ramifications, turning it into a monster with the power to turn objects and thoughts into whatever amused it. A fine copy of a colletible Brautigan work
