Absolutely minimal shelf wear to edges & corners. Slight dish and some dark marks to spine, no creases to hinge. A couple of very small marks to rear cover. VG+* Contents condition: Clean crisp tight & bright. No annotations, inscriptions or marks to text, No tanning to contents. Some very slight age marks to prelims and to top & fore-edges. VG++* Illustrations: None.* Pages: 220 pp. text. vpp. advertisements at rear.* Product Description:- This is a RARE misprint edition, in which the spine bears the misprinted series number of 615 covered with publisher's label showing 961, and the first page has the correct series number of 961. There are some earlier copies which show the misprint uncovered, showing on the spine as 615. Penguin must have realised their error quite early during the first print run, and amended it thus, prior to issuing any more first editions or reprints with the corrected series number. The remarkable experiences of a Russian exile struggling to become a surgeon. He became senior House Surgeon in a German Hospital before leaving for England and his future career.* This is a VG++ text copy of the 1st./1st. thus with minimal age & shelf wear to covers reducing it to VG+*
