Heart of the West by O. Henry - 1907

New York: The McClure Company, 1907. 1st Edition . Hardcover. Good. 8vo - over 7¾ - 9¾" tall. See photos for condition details. Hardcover, brown cloth boards show scuffing and spotting along with edge and corner bumps/wear. The spine is a bit darkened and exterior hinges are wrinkled with a hardened feel to them, like too much glue was applied during the binding process. The interior binding of the text portion of the pages is good but the front hinge is cracking in the first end page has a large closed tear at the hinge area which measures just over 2 inches in length. The front end page also contains the original owner's info written in pen. No other handwriting noted, no bookplates, no library markings, no other tears found. First edition thus with a single date of October, 1907 appearing on the copyright page.
