About This Item

Paternoster Row, London: Hamilton, Adams and Co.. Good+ with no dust jacket. 1835. Unknown. Hardcover. A set of three volumes, bound in half-leather, with marbled paper on the boards, and marbling to the page edges. Parts I and II are published in 1835, the third volume in 1836. The books were printed on good-quality paper, which has toned, but is strong. The third volume has more foxing than the first two, but it is not problematic. The bindings are solid. There are some spots on the marbled boards where the top layer of paper has worn away. The name "Gilbert D. Harris" is written in ink on the front endpaper of all three volumes, but no other markings are noted. A few page corners in Part 2 have been crimped. Altogether a very nice set for its age, not in need of restoration. The books are small, measuring 7 inches by 4. 5 inches. Total page count is 1174. Fast shipping world wide, with tracking number provided. .
