New York: The Longacre Press, Inc., [1930]. Quarto. [30]pp. First edition. Profusely illustrated. Quarter cloth and lightly-worn decorated boards; faint foxing within. A very good copy.

Filmed on location in Tampa. A press publicity book for the 1930 adventure film Hell Harbor starring Lupe Vélez, John Holland, and Jean Hersholt. The book's bold Art Deco cover was designed by Frank Spicker.

The book begins with a profile of the movie's director, Henry King, and a description of the efforts to film a Hollywood production film on Florida's west coast. The subsequent text is primarily a seven-page story with dialogue and over 40 photos of actors in costume or acting.

A 12-photo page shows the cast and crew filming in Tampa. The director and film studio, Inspiration Pictures, honor Tampa in the book's center spread: "In Grateful Remembrance of Tampa's Hospitality." Portraits here show Governor Doyle E. Carlton, Tampa mayor D.B. McKay and other Tampa political and business leaders.

The sheet music for Hell Harbor's theme song, "Caribbean Love Song," features Lupe Vélez on the last page.
