Doubleday, Doran & Company, Inc, 1935. First Edition. Hardcover. Good. The volume is bumped on the corners and spine ends with, additionally, fraying on the crown. The spine is sunned and mildly worn with some of the gilt backgrounds rubbed off. There is an ink name and date on the front endpaper and the first few leaves have creases on the bottom corners. Included are selections from Nelson Algren, Kay Boyle, Josephine W Johnson, MacKinlay Kantor, Ross Santee, William Saroyan, Thomas Wolfe, et al. First prize was awarded to Kay Boyle for "The White Horses of Vienna" and a special prize was awarded to Josephine Johnson for her short, short story "John the Six".
