About This Item

London: The Crime Club by Collins, 1955. First edition. Cloth. Near Fine/Very Good. 7" by 5". None. A vanishingly scarce to see signed first edition of this classic Poirot tale. The first edition, first impression, with no other impressions stated. Signed and dedicated by the author; 'To Peter [indistinguishable] from Agatha Christie Oct 1955'.Famously a rather introverted individual, signed examples of Christie's works are vanishingly scarce, with this being a rare example. From the library of Rolling Stone, Charlie Watts. 'Hickory Dickory Dock' is a thrilling detective novel, featuring Agatha Christie's famous Belgian detective Hercule Poirot. The novel starts with Poirot's interest in an outbreak of kleptomania in a student hostel, where there is a bizarre list of stolen items. In the original cloth binding in the original unclipped dust wrapper. Externally very smart with slight bumping to head and tail of spine. Dust wrapper is very smart with edge wear to the extremities and minor creasing. Handling marks and evidence of tape removal to rear wrap. Internally firmly bound. Pages generally bright and clean with marginal age toning and scattered spotting, due to paper used. Near Fine
