New York: The Dial Press, 1944. 1st Edition. Hardcover. Near Fine/Very Good. 8vo., 411pp. Sharp First US Edition with no other printings listed as called for by this publisher. Bound in black cloth with titles in gilt on spine and Dali's facsimile signature in gilt on front board. Translated from the French by Haakon, M. Chevalier. Mild bumping to teh crown and bottom tips. Bookplate on front paste-down. No toning or spotting. Attractive unclipped dust-jacket, ($3.00), has a chip to the crown and tiny nicks along the edges and tips. Still bright, complete and quite presentable. A very pretty collectable copy of the iconic artist's only novel.
