Ex-libris, however not the usual ex-lib mess: small call number sticker to foot of spine, small stamps neat to ffep, first blank, title page, and contents page. Early signs of starting at p.19, remaining secure. Starting at rear gutter, board secure. Frontispiece, with 35 monochrome plates on stock, including portraits and facsimile reproduction of documents.
