About This Item
New York: Grosset & Dunlap, 1950. First Edition . Hardcover. Very Good/Good. The series listing at the front of the book ends with this title, so this is a first edition. The interior of the book is clean and tight, showing no marks or wear. The red-brown covers are clean, with light wear and rubs to edges and corners. The dust jacket is in Good condition, with edgewear, two short closed tears, and one large nick of paper missing from the bottom of the front panel. The attached scan gives a better idea of overall appearance. The jacket is now in a protective mylar cover. Synopsis: When his father is accused of fraud, Tom springs to the defense. A once-famous stone carving that his father had declared genuine, is later determined by university experts to be a fake. Tom, Whiz and Gulliver had out to a Mandan village to investigate
