Not price clipped ($3.50). Clean, square, tight, unmarked. Sharp corners. Not a book club edition. No owner's name or bookplate. Not a remainder. Endpaper maps. Day-by-day eye witness account of the atomic bombing of Hiroshima and the seven weeks that followed. Dr. Hachiya, himself wounded in the blast, was director of a major Hiroshima hospital. Translated and edited by Warner Wells, M.D. The dust jacket's rear panel has photo of the author's surviving family. Jacket praise from Robert Oppenheimer, Pearl Buck, Charles Collingwood. The editor, Warner Wells went to Hiroshima in 1950 as surgical consultant to the Atomic Bomb Casualty Commission. Glossary. Bound in the original black cloth. Complete with dust jacket..
