New York: Macmillan, 1917. First edition. 320, [8] pp. Publisher's deep blue cloth lettered and decorated in gilt on the front board and the spine. Corners and head and tail of spine rubbed, slightly overopened at title-page and first signature. Old minor stain to pp. 250-51. An attractive copy of the first novel to be awarded the Pulitzer Prize, in 1918.
Synopsis
His Family is a novel by Ernest Poole published in 1917 about the life of a New York widower and his three daughters in the 1910s. It received the first Pulitzer Prize for the Novel in 1918.
