Marbled end papers and edges. Folding map of California in front of voume one. Zamorano 80; Howes V-69; Wagner, Spanish Southwest 132b; Hill 1769; Sabin 98843. Bookplate of Keneth M. Johnson on front paste down of volume one. Philadelphia bookseller A. E. Foote's bookseller's mark on front paste down of all three volumes. Much rubbing to all extremities. Hinges tender with leather starting to crack. Text blocks fine and tight. One short closed tear to map at hinge. Original ower's name & date in ink on all three title pages. Some pencil marks in volume one. A very attractive set in the original binding.
