Scarce Hague printing of Vertot's work. Includes at the end of vol. 3 "Difficultez touchant la constitution du Senat Romain, proposées par Milord Stanhope, Sécretaire d'Etat de la Grande Bretagne, et résolues par Monsr. l'Abbé Vertot ... ". This has separate titlepage, pagination and signatures and is dated 1721; was also issued separately.
